The medicine is a vaginal tablet containing the natural female sex hormone progesterone (luteal hormone).
It is used in women who need additional progesterone as part of artificial insemination (assisted reproductive therapy, ART).
Progesterone acts on the lining of the uterus and helps you get pregnant and stay pregnant if you are being treated for infertility.
The medicine cannot be used
if you are allergic to progesterone or any other ingredient of this medicine.
if you have unusual vaginal bleeding (vaginal bleeding) that your doctor has not yet checked.
if your doctor suspects that some tissue remains in the uterus after a miscarriage or you are diagnosed with a pregnancy outside the uterus.
if you have or have had serious liver disease in the past.
if you have or are suspected of having breast or genital cancer.
if you have or have ever had blood clots in your legs, lungs, eyes, or other parts of your body.
if you suffer from congenital or acquired disorders of the production of red blood pigments (porphyria).
